Among their many competitive achievements together, M&V are twice holders of the British title and represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games hosted in Salt Lake City, 2002. In the International Skating Unions Grand Prix series, Marika and Vitaliy represented Great Britain for 3 consecutive seasons. Vitaliy represented his home nation, the Ukraine, at prestigious events on the international competitive stage including the Junior World Championships and Skate Canada. Marika is Britain's most decorated lady of ice dance in the 90's and 00's, holding 5 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals from her career at Senior level. She was also the youngest skater ever to win the British Senior Ice Dance Title at the tender age of 15 and competed in her first British senior championships aged 14 (after only 2 years training as an ice dancer) , a record that will never be broken. Marika & Vitaliy were trained by world renowned Olympic Ice Dance coaches, Betty & Roy Callaway and Natalia Dubova. |
